A long day of driving, with a cruise on a ferry to break it up.
We left Charlottetown (KOA) at about 9 AM and proceeded to Woods Islands where the ferry was to take us to Nova Scotia. We lucked out as the ferry was just starting to load as we arrived.
A pleasant 75 minute trip (with COWS Ice Cream as a treat to pass the time) left us well rested for the continuation of our journey to North Sydney NS (which is on Cape Breton).
After a quick stop at Glenora Inn and Distillery to pick up some famous Cape Breton Scotch, we arrived at our camp ground. The trip from Glenora to the camp was over some very rough roads and was quite tiring, We were pleased to find that our camp ground has a wonderful view of the bridge going over Big Bras d’or Lake (Big Golden Arm).
Tomorrow we take another Ferry to Newfoundland. A 17 hour overnighter.
